I’m now a regular visitor to Monster Guide as it has loads of tips and advice on hundreds of topics. For example, if your looking for advice on starting a business, then there’s articles there for you.

The other day my dog had an accident on the carpet. Low and behold, there was an article on how to clean pet urine. OK.. not one of the nicest articles you want to read, but when you want to know (you get the rest).

I really like the clean interface on the site… It really makes navigating the sites categories easy.

Now if I’m looking for useful tips and advice, I’ll visit Monster Guide.

Although there’s been no official word from Google on this (nor would I expect one), it’s been noted that the visible pr update frequency has lessened.

How does this affect an internet entrepreneur? Well, naturally if your a traffic oriented business then this would affect you very little. On the other hand if your a directory owner / link seller based on pr then your business would get crushed.

So are Google trying to kill the link selling market. Examples of link sellers who have been google whacked recently include John Chow and TextLinkAds, so there is evidence to support this.

As with most wordpress plugins it was a simple “drop it in” into the plugins folder. You get a fairly comprehensive looking management page for it, but I decided to take the defaults and see how we go from there.

I’ll give an update in a week or so to see if it blocks all the viagra spam.

Over the last couple of days I’ve had a few comments for moderation. All of them said how great I was, or how cool the site is. Funnily enough all these came from the same IP. I’m fairly sceptical of anything with praise inside so they all went straight in the trash.

So spammers, don’t bother wasting your time eh…

Unfortunately it now looks like that site has been smart priced as the clicks are coming in at the very very low cents. I was looking for adsense alternatives, so I put a ringtone affiliate ad in the place of the adsense, but there appeared to be no biters for that. I guess I went for ringtones because I thought they’d suit the type of people hitting the site.

I think I’ll leave it for a week or so and see what happens.

So, what have I spent this month. Well, I went out and got me a days access to Wordtracker for $7.87. I paid someone to design four headers at $11 each and registered a domain at $10. I also paid someone to do some directory submissions. This cost $50 for 400 submissions. This won’t have had any affect on my serps yet as I only got this going a couple of days ago.

That left me with a balance of $29.76. Pretty close to zero…

The good news is that I’ve increased my revenue to $126.72. A closing balance of $156.48.

I now need to work on the content of the two main cash generating sites to help drive me towards the $10 a day average. Currently this is averaging out at about $4 a day.

Certainly a step in the right direction.
