Set myself a Goal

My Goals

Right, I said in the first post I was going to set myself a goal. My goal is as follows:

Make $10 a day on the internet.

That’s it, you’re not impressed are you. You may be wondering why I didn’t set myself a $100 a day or even $1000 a day. The simple fact is I need something I can shoot at while still maintaining some enthusiasm. When I reach that goal, I’ll set myself a higher target, it’ll help me keep the momentum up.

I’ve told you what my goal is, so how am I going to achieve it. I’ve obviously though about this and have some constraints:

  1. I work full-time, so it has to be something I can do around work
  2. I don’t have any capital, so startup costs need to be minimal (I’ll come on to that in a mo)

On that basis these are the areas I’m going to target:

  1. Link Sales
  2. Adsense
  3. Site Sales

So what is my starting position… Here’s the rub. I’ve set myself an amount of capital to get this off the ground. That is a huge $200. As I have a site online now (yep, you’re reading it), I’ve already spent some of that cash. So here’s the mini Balance Sheet.

Starting Capital:
$200

Costs:
$9.15 (Domain costs)
$0.01 (Hosting costs, yep thats a penny for this month)

Capital Remaining:
$190.84

As I register more domains, pay for advertising etc I’ll update these numbers.
